OVERVIEW

We return to the Cambridge Music Festival with our Music Director Joshua Bell, as we continue to mark our 60th anniversary with a programme that looks to our past, present and future.

Mozart’s Symphony No. 25, which famously features on the Academy’s soundtrack to the Oscar-winning film Amadeus, gives a nod to the orchestra’s prestigious recording heritage. Sally Beamish‘s Hover, written in memory of and dedicated to Sir Neville Marriner, showcases our superb musicians as both soloists and ensemble players. Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto concludes the programme, offering the chance to hear why American virtuoso Joshua Bell is one of the most celebrated violinists of his era.
